The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 series is probably the most comprehensive yet in the history of the hugely popular Redmi Note series. This year we have Snapdragon/MediaTek variants, models with or without 5G, and whatnot.
While the variants’ prices vary greatly, the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5G variant sits closer to the cheaper end of the spectrum yet comes with 5G support. This is made possible by the recently announced affordable yet quite powerful Mediatek Dimensity 700 5G chip in March this year.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5G came with Android 11-based MIUI 12 out-of-the-box on the software side of things, which means it was yet to get the first MIUI 12.5. Typically, all other devices launched in 2021 were taken over by the Chinese MIUI 12.5 beta program within a month.
Not so with the Redmi Note 10 5G, though nothing has been received since launch except for some bug-fixing MIUI 12 stable updates. This change as the Xiaomi Redmi Note 10 5G has now received its first MIUI 12.5 build as a beta in China. The build has version 21.6.28, and its download link and changelog are given below.
