After delaying the release of the next title under its iconic Halo series, Microsoft confirmed the release of Halo Infinity in the fall of 2021. Now, at its Xbox+ Bethesda showcase during E3 2021, the Redmond giant has shown off the new multiplayer mode for the upcoming Halo title. So, here’s a first look at the multiplayer mode in Halo Infinity that will make its way to the game upon release.
Now, for those unaware, developers from 343 industries showcased the Halo Infinity title back in July last year. It was initially scheduled for release to coincide with the official launch of the Xbox Series X/S. However, due to the coronavirus-led pandemic and poor gameplay visuals in the July demo, the developers had to push the release date to the fall of 2021.
Today, however, Microsoft’s first gameplay trailer for the free-to-play multiplayer mode in Halo Infinity was revealed. You can watch the official video below.
As you can see, the new multiplayer mode in Halo Infinity will be an action-packed game mode. You and your companions will be able to use unique abilities such as grabbing objects and capturing flags to win battles. Furthermore, according to Microsoft, the new multiplayer mode will be completely free to play and support cross-play and cross-progression.
Joseph Staten, Halo Infinity’s Head of Creative, says, “When it comes to gameplay, we aim to provide a multiplayer experience that honours classic Halo combat, as well as giving new players the jump and a good time.” Provides necessary assistance.” Microsoft.
In addition, the developers are introducing a new Spartan Academy and a Spartan Commander Laureate, which will help new players get acquainted with the maps, weapons, and other elements of the title. These will be rolled out as OTA updates as the game evolves.
In addition, 343 Industries will also integrate behaviour-based anti-cheat systems to keep the game fair and square. Now, apart from that, there is no word regarding the official release date of Halo Infinity or its beta testing.
